Safe Systems and Processes
In addition to providing the finest selection of superior branded products for our customers, Frontera understands that a truly superior shopping experience must be safe and secure. When you place an order with Frontera, your personal information, including your name, shipping address(es), email address, and credit card information, will be transmitted via a secured connection and encrypted, only to be read by the Frontera private server. Further, for your protection, just prior to the transmission of your personal information, your browser will make a confirmed identification that communication is being made solely with Frontera.

Information that Frontera Gathers and Tracks
Frontera collects three types of information about shoppers: optional, voluntary data that shoppers provide through the Quick Registration process and in certain surveys and drawings; required data provided through the order process; and data gathers through aggregating tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our site and click through on our banners and products (navigational information). Such information enables us to better tailor our content to shoppers’ needs as we strive to deliver a truly superior shopping experience.

Frontera gathers user information in the following processes:

Quick Registration and Purchase
When a shopper wishes to purchase items that have been placed in his or her Shopping Basket, we require that the shopper first complete our Quick Registration Form. During the Quick Registration process, the shopper is required to supply his or her first and last name, e-mail address, and a personally chosen password. This information will allow us to create a personal account for the shopper where the shopper’s order(s) can be stored.

During the Quick Registration process, the shopper has the option of supplying street address, city, state, zip code, and phone number. In addition, the shopper can opt to subscribe to HomeWorks, Frontera’s electronic newsletter.

When the shopper selects the red “Purchase” button within the Shopping Basket, he or she will be presented with the Frontera Order Form. When completing the Order Form, the shopper is required to supply his or her credit card information, billing address, telephone number and ship-to address. If the shopper elected to provide his or her physical address during the Quick Registration, this address will default as the billing address. The email address that was required during the Quick Registration will also be linked to the information provided in the Order Form.

From time to time Frontera will conduct online surveys to assist our buyers in their job of purchasing top quality furniture and accessories that are in line with discerning tastes of our shoppers. When completing a survey, the shopper is required to supply a first and last name, password, and email address, and must answer mandatory survey questions about age, gender, income, education, zip code, country, and other demographic information. This survey information is used strictly for internal purposes and is not shared or sold to outside parties, or combined with data provided by third-parties.

Drawings and Sweepstakes
Occasionally, will offer drawings and sweepstakes in which we request certain personal information. At a minimum, the required information includes name and email address; in some cases, the user must answer mandatory survey questions about a range of other personal data. The information gathered in the entry form is used to verify the entrant’s identity, to send the entrant an email notification that their entry has been received, and to contact winners and/or prize recipients.

“HomeWorks” Electronic Newsletter
Frontera offers HomeWorks, a free electronic newsletter to our shoppers. Frontera gathers the email addresses of shoppers who voluntarily subscribe. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list through the unsubscribe procedures detailed in the Choice/Opt-Out section below. Users can also subscribe to the newsletter at the time of Quick Registration.

Usage Tracking
Frontera logs IP addresses for system administration purposes. These logged IP addresses enable us to study the way customers browse the site and help us to continually refine the on-line shopping experience for our customers. This navigational information is used strictly for internal purposes and is not shared or sold to outside parties, nor is it combined with data provided by third-parties.

Frontera’s “Email a Showcase to a Friend” Service
A shopper can choose to electronically forward the contents of a Showcase to someone else by entering that person’s email in the text box at the bottom of the Showcase. Other than to deliver the Showcase, the recipient’s address is used only in the case of transmission errors. The recipient’s address is not used for any other purpose.
A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you’ve visited. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can’t read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.

When you register, Frontera uses a cookie to store a unique, random user ID. We do not store passwords or any personal information about you. We use this ID to identify you anonymously in our database and to track the pages you visit on our site. Cookies also enable you to enter the Frontera site as a member without having to log on each time, and to visit member-restricted areas of the sites. If you’ve set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie.

You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use the Showcase or the Shopping Basket on the Frontera site. 

How Frontera Uses the Information We Collect
Transactional information, such as account or credit card numbers (Quick Registration and Order Form), and demographic information, such as zip code, age, and income level (surveys and drawings), are used only to process and ship orders, and to distribute our HomeWorks newsletter and other email promotions relevant to the Frontera site. This information is not shared with any outside parties. Financial information is used to check the user’s qualifications and bill the user for products and services.

Users may remove themselves from this mailing list through the unsubscribe procedures detailed in the Choice/Opt-Out section below.

Sharing of the Information
Frontera uses the information described above to assist our technology team in developing applications that make shopping more convenient, and to assist our buyers in their job of purchasing top-quality furniture and accessories that are in line with discerning tastes of our shoppers. By studying the way our customers use our site, we can continue to deliver a superior shopping experience.

Information about individual users is not shared with, or sold to, any third party. Furthermore, this information is not combined with data provided by third parties. From time to time, Frontera may feature links to other sites that we feel offer additional value to our customers. However, Frontera does not control the privacy practices or content of these sites. *Some furniture items are oversized and/or fragile and can only be shipped via freight carrier. These items are clearly designated with an non-refundable Oversize Delivery Fee. This fee may be eliminated by adding two or more units to your cart or purchasing multiple items.
