Once the general house design was finalized, the pair added bonus amenities, such as expansive storage space, privately commissioned artwork, imaginative flooring, and custom cabinetry and lighting.

Combining a number of styles easily found on the Frontera.com website, from period English to Mission and French Provincial to Shaker, the decorators created a warm, eclectic environment, well suited to a busy family that loves to entertain. “It was a dream to use the Internet to select all the furniture,” said Cynthia. “For each room, we decided on one or two key pieces and then chose all the accompanying designs in a number of styles.” Higgins and Erwin relied on the website’s Showcase feature to preview how pieces looked together.

The Showcase Home at 2 Clary Sage Court was featured in a recent Showcase of Homes in the new neighborhood of Cascade Canyon in The Woodlands. Designed by Higgins and Erwin and built by Eaglebrook Properties, Inc., the house joins the exclusive enclave of estate homes priced from the $600s to $1.5 million.
